Something is missing...

Today everyone is so much in love with the letter E. Everything around is so 'E'. We cannot imagine our lives without it. You must be wondering what I am talking about. I refer 'E' here to be electronic. In today's world or rather I should call it an e-world one cannot imagine life without a laptop, internet, cell phones, ipods, play stations and the list goes on and on. All these devices are so user friendly and has made our lives 100 times easier than before. Not a single day of my life I can imagine without a laptop, an internet or a cell phone.

Since last few years I have been in a habit of searching every damn thing on google be it searching a song, a movie, tickets, latest fashion, ebooks, ejokes, dictionary and this list alone can be continued for 10 pages atleast or may be more than that. Now I dont read the actual newspaper  but I have been in a habit of reading an epaper. The greeting cards which we used to send to our families and friends on special occasions have been replaced by an ecard or an sms, slambooks have been replaced by testimonials, letters have been replaced by emails, writing a diary by a blog (I am no different :P)

Today I feel something is missing. I miss that message written on a greeting card by your close ones in their handwriting with colorful pens which gave it a special meaning. I used to have a collection of cards and was in a habit of reading them after every few days but today I have none. When I was a kid I used to exchange letters with my cousins and was so eager to read it that at times I called them up and ask did u post the letter. Just by seeing the handwriting I used to recognize who has sent it, but today I cannot recognize my own handwriting. I dont even remember since how many days I havent wrote a single word with a pen on a paper. I think something is missing.

  2. Perhaps there's a good side, too.

You don't need to think twice before writing that mail to a dear one. You don't have to worry about it reaching the destination.

Only the tools have changed. It still depends on the people how they use the E.

  3. Indeed the handwritten cards are missed, pen friends and postcards also seem archaic but then its the instantaneous connection that makes truly appreciate E
